Love is the power podcast

111. I Need to speak up for myself

Episode Notes

In its essence, The Work is quite simple: take a stressful thought through the four questions and then turn it around. Sometimes the trickiest part is identifying which thoughts cause us stress. It turns out that many of our stressful stories are embedded into culturally accepted narratives that we've been conditioned to believe are "right," "helpful," and even "good for us." It is not uncommon after taking a belief through the four questions, to discover that the thought is not only not as helpful as we initially expected but more-so creates the opposite of what we are wanting to experience. This week's episode is a perfect example of one of those unassuming beliefs. Follow along and see for yourself whether this seemingly "good" thought is working for you or against you.
